Welcome to September’s Scrapbook Expedition at Scrapbook Techniques. As we all welcome a return to routines, back to school and cooler temperatures for our northern hemisphere friends.
I am so excited to kick off this month’s scrapbook and paper crafting classes with you. This month, we will focus on two themes:

Back To School

Fall
Each month, we will focus on a season (Fall) and a relevant topic (Back To School) so we can focus our attention on building just two master kits for the month. This will help streamline our focus and possibly even let us catch up some past projects that we have been wanting to work on.
As we consider these two topics (pick all, one or none to play along), consider the all important Mood & Feel of these topics. I have created these two word clouds with some words that convey how I feel about the topics. I invite you to think about how you feel about these two very broad topics and write down a list of words that convey how you feel.
You will notice in my graphics that there are varied colors as well as the words. That is because I associate different colors with each of the topics. For fall, I think of natural colors of trees (green, yellow, orange, red, etc) and for School I think of bold colorful colors I associate with children.
Take these items into account as you think back over memories you have made and plan your approach to scrapbooking this month.

- In September we will focus on Embossing using both embossing folders and embossing ink/powder

- Be on the lookout for short videos to show you various ways to emboss for your projects on our YOUTUBE Channel
- Tidy Up Thursday
- Organizational tips for your photo storage
- Flash Friday
- Quick Tips to sneak in more creativity into your month
- We will share more ideas to help fuel your creativity on our PINTEREST boards
- Sappy Saturday
- We will share previous and current greeting card projects
- Sharing Sunday
- We will be sharing some of our favorite FALL and School layouts to give you ideas
- Monthly online crop with tutorials and projects.
