Our April subscription kit class was so much fun with these adorable spring themed double page layouts. In our 2 hour class, we completed two layouts and the best news is that they can be created with just the kit contents, adhesive and a journaling pen. But of course, us scrapbookers, always like to add a little “extra” to make them into our style.
Our first double page scrapbook layout contained 5 photos and had great spring colors. Look for the second layout in a separate post and video.
I thought this kit was perfect for some Easter photos of my daughter and I painting and decorating our wooden eggs.
TITLE: I Adore You

- Charming Backgrounds Stamp (D1990) – On Sale now for $12.50
- White Ribbon
- Tiny Attacher
- Clear Shimmer brush
- Pewter journaling pen
- Glitter washi

TECHNIQUE TIP: The one thing I was not crazy about on this layout were all of the white frames around all the photos. I decided to take my background stamp and my canary ink to stamp little hearts to match the pink heart patterned paper. I love how it came out. I also decided to not use the polaroid frame on the first page (I inked it yellow in the sample), and instead use that area for my date and a die cut. I added a soft white ribbon attached with my tiny stapler and some white glitter washi tape to complete this layout. A few teal hearts to finish off some of the die cut/sticker areas and it was done. There also was not a dedicated journaling spot on this layout so I decided to use the white space at the bottom of page two to tell the story of how we started this tradition in our home.
JOURNALING: We started the tradition of painting and decorating wooden eggs in 2020 because of a shortage of real eggs due to COVID. What started as a way to save Easter now has turned into such fun. Not sure we will ever go back to “coloring” real eggs again.
