Tuesday Technique Video #0004 – Coloring Tools – Alter and Embellish your embellishments and journal cards with heat embossing
Welcome to our scrapbook technique video for this week which supports our weekly challenge of adding texture & interest to your handmade embellishments and journal cards with heat embossing and clear embossing powder. In this technique, we will be using our Coloring Tools category to add texture and interest to handmade embellishments and journal cards from our scrapbook inventory and embossing powder. This technique video supports our fourth weekly challenge. For more information on our weekly challenges, <—- click here.
Today’s technique is all about adding texture and interest to your handmade embellishments and pocket cards for your layout. I have used these techniques in my examples here.
Here is a quick summary of each of our examples that we will be using today:
- 4×6 let me tell you a story pocket card – We will embellish this card with clear embossing powder to emphasis the “tell” and “story” words
- 3×4 Eifel tower pocket card – We will embellish the image of the Eifel tower with embossing powder to call emphasis to that image
- 4×6 butterfly pocket card – We will emphasize all 3 butterflies to make them appear to be embellishments instead of being preprinted on the card
- 3×4 floral card – We will use clear embossing powder to emphasize the leaves and flowers
- 4×6 floral card – We will use clear embossing powder to emphasize both colors of flowers
