A Crafty Life is a Happy Life

This week’s happy thought is: A Crafty life Is a Happy Life!

TECHNIQUE TIP: I am having so much fun creating these fun little saying that I’ve even started a 6×8 scrapbook for them so I can keep them all together. I have really never created this type of no photo artwork before and I can say it is really fun. Is there some memory that you want to capture or some feeling, but don’t have a photo for it? Go ahead and scrap it! Find a cute saying, journal about it, or take a photo from the internet. Remember, its all about preserving your memories and being creative.

You do have permission to memory keep and create art work even without photos!

A Crafty Life Is A Happy Life – Who else splatters themselves and their desk when adding these cute splatters?

This particular layout was so fun and easy to put together. I started out with a 6×8 piece of the Candid Moments patterned paper, cut the digital artwork out my Cricut using black cardstock, and created the frame and background using the Stitched Rectangle Frames dies and Sundance cardstock. I added just a few sticker embellishments as well as a torn strip of papaya cardstock across the top. To finish it all off and create a “crafty” feel, I used my Sundance re-inker and a waterbrush to splatter a tone on tone look onto the page. Of course in the meantime, I splattered myself and my desk, but it was still so fun.
